Caption:Set at the WIDE view, the GoPro Hero 3 takes typical GoPro pics, but note that this was in my living room with only natural light. Previous version of the camera would produce grainy images as the camera would try to compensate.. And fail.
We recently received our initial shipment of GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition cameras - finally - at Motorcycle Closeouts. Like a lot of shops, we had been on the waiting list for nearly two months before they unceremoniously appeared in large boxes full of the cameras and a bevy a mounts to go with it.
The next question was “When do we get a demo to play with?” Well I got one and had planned a lot of hooligan antics to test it out.
And then we were hit with a snowstorm.
Motorcycle Closeouts was back at HPT again last weekend and snapped some pics and recorded some footy.
It’s good to be back on track!

This past Sunday, we had ourselves the first track day of the 2012 Heartland Park Topeka Bike Days season. Motorcycle Closeouts is a big sponsor and as such, we try to attend every local track day and support our customers as much as we can. Sometimes that support comes in the form of the use of GoPro HD cameras for a couple of sessions, borrowing of demo Teknic track suits or sometimes something as simple as being on track with a camera and capturing the moment for them to share with their friends and family.

Being the first track day, we went out with the intent to have a damn good time above all else, but were met with colder than expected temperatures and extremely gusty winds! Nonetheless, we rocked it and everyone had a blast.
Be sure to check out the other photos from the event as well as the video edit we produced. If you are a local customer and have not been to a track day and want to watch or participate, feel free to contact us and we’ll get you set up. You can even ride for free to get a “taste” of the action!

The first show/ swap meet of the year took place this past weekend and we went out to take in some of the festivities. As it always is with these close-knit community events, you can’t walk three feet without running into someone you know, but that was a good thing.
