Fox Racing has been working on a prototype off-road boot for the last three years. Now known as the Instinct, this boot contains a lot of features that make a lot of logical sense, but for whatever reason haven’t been implemented before it.
We’ve had a very limited time with the boot and have no first-hand riding impressions, but were able to see where Fox was headed with their long R&D process; we’re excited to get the chance to run a couple of laps in the Instinct.
Breaking it down:
That’s a quick run-down of some of the features, but there’s a lot more details that make this thing stand out above the other boots out there. We’ll be sure to share that information soon. We weren’t allowed to take pictures when we had our hands-on time with the Instinct, but Racer X Illustrated posted a bunch of pix today of both the boot and the new V4 carbon helmet. Those pictures are on Facebook, so you may need an account to view.
More information about the Instinct and V4 gear should be released after the industry show at Indianapolis next month and we’ve already ordered a small number of the boots and started a waiting list. Keep an eye out for that info and if you’re wanting to get on the waiting list for the boots, ring us up at Motorcycle Closeouts!
