We recently posted this viral video from Carlsberg* about.. well, take a look for yerself!
After the original post on our Facebook page, I meant to say that this advert plays on the stereotype of club bikers so much I would normally cry foul, but the end makes all the difference. It does question how this type of biker image has pervaded so many countries.
Living here in the states, or the center of the universe as I like to think of it, I found myself surprised to see this ad coming from Belgium! Despite the ignorance on my part, I really do wonder about the course of that particular version of biker culture around the world: Did everyone read about the Sonny Barger, Terry the Tramp and the Hells Angels and decide to co-opt renegade biker lifestyles from the 1969 movie?
Obviously, buying a cruiser and dressing in gear modeled after 70s wear is still in fashion with a lot of people, but to see it outside of the motherland was kind of confusing and amusing at the same time.
What are your thoughts?
